You are capable of extraordinary things!
Do you:
Pretend that nothing is wrong for the sake of not stirring the pot or causing worry?
Isolate from your family and friends - to avoid any potential shaming or judgement?
Let your friends and family into the vision of your ideal life, only to have been let down by disappointing or harmful responses from them?
You need a space where you are allowed to safely explore all of your wonderings, questions, dreams, concerns, and doubts.
And most importantly, you need someone willing to walk alongside you - wherever your journey might take you.
How therapy for college students and twenty-somethings can help
I welcome wherever your dreams may lead you.
I see your dreams, ambitions and life-related questions and doubts as a healthy part of your development. As we grow and live our lives, our perspectives and worldviews shift too. I see your dreams and evolution as a sign of strength and growth as a person.
Here is what I can offer you:
Guidance and tools that you need to define who you are and who you want to grow into.
Structure to construct YOUR life mission so you can be successful on your terms
Space for you to safely explore life.
Support as you navigate the ways that being in the space of question impacts your day-to-day life.
When we honor our dreams, and shifting experiences, it can feel disorienting, and scary.
Some may call this a “quarter-life crisis”.
I will help you identify your roots so you can continue to feel grounded as you embark on this journey of growth and vision.
My experiences with navigating life as a twenty something:
I’ve worked with high school graduates, college students, college graduates and dreamers for over a decade. Through this work, I’ve come to see, not only how common the experience of questioning life’s plan is, but how healthy and valuable it is as we develop.
I’ve found that those who dream and explore possibilities are not looking to run away from expectations or reality, but connect with their hearts, pave their own path in life and test their capabilities. Once the dream has been had, it can be difficult to ignore the pull towards the excitement of possibility.
I have also traveled the path of values identification, dream catching and fear fighting. The journey was arduous for me and I felt emotionally and physically exhausted while I went through it. In time, I arrived at a new space where my dreams became a reality and I fell back into alignment with my purpose.
You can find your alignment, too!
I love combining my clinical training as a therapist with these experiences. It allows me to provide a supportive space that allows you to dive into your questions and fears safely. I help you identify your core values so you can have some stable emotional ground to stand on while you navigate the disorienting process of asking “what’s next?” and venture to live a life you love.
